Occupational Therapist by trade and Caffeinated Blogger by passion, Ashley of Brew In Style sought a website to showcase her cafe recommendations and fashion-inspired posts.
Deciding Which Platform to Use for Her Lifestyle Blog
One of Ashley’s requests was to find a platform that could be easily edited to match her aesthetic and that was simple to navigate. With that in mind, we used Wix. Wix is one of the best platforms for keeping everything in one place for dual-passion professionals. From email marketing to SEO and e-commerce, Ashley loved the user-friendly option for her online space.
Mapping Out The Layout of the Blog
First, we mapped out her brand’s vision and how she wanted her website to look and feel. Ashley stated that she wanted a “chic yet minimalist” look. With her brand message being “Stylish Outfits and Trendy Coffee Shop Recommendations throughout the Georgia area and Beyond”, we found a generic template and swiftly started to make it her own.
The main focal points were coffee and cafe recommendations, fashion looks, style inspiration, a sip-and-read segment, and an e-commerce option. Once the focal points were shared, the menu, blog page, and product pages were created.

For the top banner, we wanted to showcase Ashley’s love for coffee and fashion-forward style and immediately let her site visitors know what Ashley has to offer, a resource “Where Coffee Meets Style.”
The second custom graphic is her “About Me” banner. Because this is a personal and lifestyle blog that heavily showcases the blogger, designing this banner was geared around a fun play on mocha-colored browns and Polaroid-like images.
The homepage consists of a short excerpt from the About Me page, blog post categories, the latest blog post, website categories, an Instagram feed, and a footer. The product page is ready for new inventory, and the most exciting part is that Ashley can grow her website at her own pace with the supported tools that Wix offers. Brew In Style is also optimized for mobile viewing since much of their traffic is anticipated from social media.
